TAD Foundation Appoints New Board Members

Organization expands board with experts in technology, finance, and social entrepreneurship

The Together Achieving Dreams (TAD) Foundation is pleased to announce the addition of three new members to its board of directors: Kimberly Fay Boucher, Nicholas Mahaney, and Carmen Marin de Leon. With these new additions come a wealth of expertise and strategic resources that the organization will rely on to bolster its financial and operational positions.

“I am delighted and grateful for Kim, Nic, and Carmen’s commitment to supporting TAD’s growth and success,” said Kathryn Webster, TAD Foundation’s president. “Our ability to impact the blind and low vision communities and change the face of corporate America has never been stronger.”

All new board members commenced their one-year terms on December 12, 2023.

Kimberly Fay Boucher

Kimberly Fay Boucher is an experienced general manager, technology commercialization expert, digital transformation pioneer and MIT Senior Lecturer with 25+ years of operational expertise in the technology, digital commerce, and consumer goods industries. Kim teaches Entrepreneurship Lab at the Martin Trust Center for Entrepreneurship at MIT’s Sloan School of Management.  She also serves as a board member of the MIT Delta V Accelerator Programs and as an advisory board member for two early-stage startups in AI and real estate technologies.

Most recently, Kim served as the Technology Commercialization Business Leader reporting to the Chief Technology Officer at Analog Devices (ADI) where she was part of ADI’s internal private equity fund tasked with identifying new businesses to fund. Prior to that, Kim oversaw the global marketing organization for ADI and all of its business units: Communications, Autonomous and Electric Vehicles, Factory 4.0, Aerospace & Defense, and Digital Healthcare industries.

With a lifelong passion for paying it forward, Kim co-founded and is a board director with the Women’s Foundation of Boston, funding women and girls programs for economic empowerment. She was the President of Athlete’s Serving the Community and consulted to social enterprise organizations including Jericho Road, Root Capital, Boston Partners in Education, Suitability, and the Maranyundo Initiative STEM School for Girls in Nyamata, Rwanda. Kim holds a BS degree in Management Industrial Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from Harvard Business School. She is a NCAA Academic All-American Women’s Basketball player and was inducted into the WPI Athletic Hall of Fame in 2000.  She is most proud of raising her three children as a single mother and resides in Boston, MA.

Nicholas Mahaney

Nic Mahaney is an experienced entrepreneur and product leader based in New York, NY. Currently, Nic is a Founder-in-Residence at Atomic, the world’s preeminent Venture Capital studio. Prior to Atomic, Nic was the Head of Product at Sandhill Markets after the acquisition of the company he co-founded was acquired in January 2022. Nic received his B.S. in Finance from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business, where he captained the Men’s Varsity Lacrosse team. After experiencing the ups and downs of life as a student-athlete, Nic founded the Student-Athlete Mental Health and Wellness program to provide student-athletes with on-premises counseling, education, and support resources. Nic is excited to leverage his experience building 0-to-1 to help build TAD’s programming and partnership programs.

Carmen Marin de Leon

Originally from Spain and raised in Switzerland, Carmen Marin is a FinTech investor focused on the digital transformation of capital markets. Her career spans JP Morgan's trading floor, digital strategy and FinTech strategic investments team, as well as early stage FinTech venture capital investing. A Harvard Business School alumna, she currently lives in New York City and works in FinTech private equity. Passionate about philanthropy from her youth in Geneva, Carmen served as the head of fundraising at the International School of Geneva, leading relief efforts for the 2010 Haiti earthquake and ongoing projects in India and Nepal. A strong advocate for education as a catalyst for change, she takes pride in her work on and off the ground to fundraise and negotiate school fees for the Sagarmatha Orphanage House in Kathmandu.

During her time at JP Morgan, Carmen was an active member of "Women on the Move," where she championed board diversity encouraging the seats held through JP Morgan’s strategic investments to serve as a platform for greater representation at the top of organizations. Carmen says she is driven by the TAD Foundation’s mission and is eager and committed to serving on the board of directors. She is ready to support in any capacity in enabling blind and low-vision communities to maximize their full potential, break barriers into the corporate world, and pursue whatever it is they choose to do in their future.
