TAD board member, Kimberly Fay Boucher , is a true powerhouse—her impressive qualifications and extensive experience speak for themselves. But in a recent interview, we discovered that beyond her many accomplishments, she is a deeply compassionate woman committed not only to making her own impact but also to opening doors for other women and girls to do the same. Her belief that “the sky is the limit” when it comes to creating opportunities for women in successful and fulfilling careers is why we chose her for our Women in History spotlight.

With over 25 years in her field, Kim has leveraged her education and expertise to juggle high-level leadership roles, a rigorous athletic career, nonprofit work, social enterprises, and education initiatives.Yet, she still considers her greatest achievement to be taking ten years off in the middle of her burgeoning career to raise her three children as a single mother. Passionate about guiding the next generation,

Kim emphasizes the importance of aiming high when choosing a path to education and a field of study. She credits her own education for allowing her to seamlessly re-enter the workforce and is now determined to ensure young women and girls have access to the same opportunities. Her focus has sharpened on increasing awareness and expanding access to economic empowerment so that more young women and girls can forge their own paths to success—an idea that led her to cofound the Women’s Foundation of Boston, a foundation that empowers young girls and women to build economic stability by focusing on everything from job training to financial literacy to STEM education and entrepreneurial skills. She also believes that the discipline and dedication developed through sports laid the foundation for confidence building that served her throughout her entire career and life.

“If I could focus on one thing for the rest of my life, it would be to help build confidence in young girls and women, so they know they can achieve anything they put their minds to.”As she enters the next phase of her journey, Kim is committed to making an even greater impact, especially for women and vulnerable populations. In her work with TAD, she has been outspoken about the urgency of addressing unemployment, declaring, “75% unemployment is just unacceptable.” Despite her many commitments, she remains dedicated to supporting the TAD Foundation, believing wholeheartedly that “the galvanizing leadership of TAD will bring this issue into the light—and WILL see success!”
